A BIT ABOUT US

Our Aim

The Community Association for West Hampstead (CAWH) aims to improve the life, health, and social wellbeing of the whole community in West Hampstead, particularly children, young people and older people at risk of isolation. We play an important role in bringing people together and helping to make West Hampstead a cohesive community and an enjoyable, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhood.

Services

We run a whole range of activities from our community centre, including Dance for Fitness (Zumba) and Men's Exercise classes, Art, Yoga, Ballet for Children, Baby Massage and much more! We also hire our hall out for private use.

If you would like to hire the hall for a private event, or if you are interested in running a class from our centre, get in touch!

Get Involved

Volunteers help promote the Charity's work, run and support classes, and distribute leaflets. Volunteers currently teach ESOL, and assist in classes and community events. If you have a skill to share, we want to hear about it.

All of the Charity Trustees are volunteers who bring their skills, knowledge and experience to manage

the strategic direction and vision of the organisation. Why not join us?

We are particularly keen to hear from people who have experience in the areas of Human Resources,

Fundraising and Financial Management

Who Funds Us?

CAWH is an independent Charity. We rely on funding from Trusts and Foundations, hall hire income, donations and local fundraising efforts. We run a lottery, the CAWH 101 Club, which has a monthly draw for a prize of £100 in return for a stake of £5 a month; we aim to raise £5000 a year once we reach our target of 101 members.

We currently receive funding from:

* City Bridge Trust

* Garfield Weston Foundation

* Hampstead Wells and Campden Trust

* John Lyon's Charity

* LocalGiving: Magic Little Grants

* London Borough of Camden

* Making A Difference Locally: NISA

* National Lottery Awards for All

* Octane Capital

Please help us continue to serve the local community by Donating and joining the CAWH 101 Club.
